Cooking classes are taught by Eva Ruiz De Garcia Jimenez, proprietress of
Magdalena's, and her friend associate of many
years, Judith Lopez. The students will learn traditional
Mexican cooking featuring local recipes from San
Miguel de Allende as well as recipes typical of
Nayarit and the West Coast of the Mexican mainland.
Each day, a different meal -tamales, chiles rellenos,
soups, moles and other sauces - will be prepared
by the students in Magdalena's kitchen and then
enjoyed by the students who can attend as many
classes as suits their schedules. Optionally,
students can join Eva and Judith in shopping trips
to buy ingridients. The cost of all ingredients
is included in the price.
