Opening Magdalena's B & B in Sep.26,2004 was the culmination of a dream for
Eva Garcia Gomez. A dream born from her years of experience in the hotel
and restaurant industries and her sure knowledge that San Miguel de Allende
was a beautiful place to live and a wonderful place to visit. Eva's fluency
in English and Spanish, professional expertise, and cordial manner have
resulted in the building of a very successful business where international
business guests and vacationers mingle in a warm and relaxing environment.
But, opening the B & B was only part of her dream. Eva longed to have her
American children (Vivianna age 13 and Enrique age 8) experience their rich
Hispanic inheritance. They, too, are now completely bilingual and share
their mother's pride in being part of both cultures.
Ever an entrepreneur, Eva saw that many of her guests would benefit from
other services she was well qualified to provide. Her services have
expanded to help newcomers settling into life in San Miguel de Allende and
now include realtor support (for long term rentals as well as house and
condominium purchases and sales), translation and documentation help, and
help identifying and accessing local resources. Eva also provides catering
services, teaches vegetarian and Mexican cooking classes, and is very
experienced in leading shopping excursions for everything from today's chic
look to household furniture. Should you have other needs during your stay,
Eva will either provide the necessary help or find someone who can.
You are likely to leave Magdalena's having made a new friend. You will
